Ten episodes on a fogged-in New England island that everyone except the mayor believes is cursed — and he is busy selling it as the next Nantucket. Matthew Rhys is the best thing here by a mile: his Tom Loftis meets every impossible thing on that island with a straight face and a to-do list, and it is an absolute delight to watch. The horror and the comedy run on the same beat instead of taking turns. Not every thread on the island lands, but Rhys never misses.
