Verbinski is back after ten years, and it’s not a great comeback. A man from the future keeps replaying the same night in a diner to stop a rogue AI. I love time loop movies, and this loop works. Rockwell carries the whole film — you feel it when he is off screen. Then the ending goes into ugly CGI that looks AI-generated. Fun once, no more.
