Spider-Man: Brand New Day

A great sequel

Spider-Man: Brand New Day poster

The director keeps things simple and just lets Spider-Man move — the fights and the swinging are the best action the MCU has done in years. Peter is finally a grown-up, and the whole story stays in New York, which fits him much better. Holland is really good here, Bernthal steals every scene, and Sadie Sink is just as strong. The one thing I didn’t like: MJ and Ned get maybe ten minutes in the whole film, so their part feels pointless. Not a masterpiece, but a great sequel.
