2026 Movie: 3

Ten episodes on a fogged-in New England island that everyone except the mayor believes is cursed — and he is busy selling it as the next Nantucket. Matthew Rhys is the best thing here by a mile: his Tom Loftis meets every impossible thing on that island with a straight face and a to-do list, and it is an absolute delight to watch. The horror and the comedy run on the same beat instead of taking turns. Not every thread on the island lands, but Rhys never misses.

Nolan takes the oldest story ever told and turns it into something massive and hypnotic. We went to IMAX for the first time in ages, and that made it hit twice as hard — the scale, the sound, the weight of every frame. Ludwig Göransson’s score has been on repeat for a week straight since. Best film of the year, no contest.

The Odyssey poster

Paul Thomas Anderson at his most chaotic and alive. DiCaprio is magnetic, but it’s Del Toro who absolutely owns the screen every time he appears. An instant classic — don’t sleep on it.

The Phoenician Scheme is a dazzling feast for the eyes — Wes Anderson’s signature symmetry, color, and wit come together in a film that’s equal parts absurd, elegant, and irresistibly stylish. Every frame feels like a painting in motion, making it impossible to look away even for a second.

Zach Cregger delivers something genuinely unsettling and original. Multiple storylines weave together in ways you don’t see coming — tense, disturbing, and brilliantly constructed. One of the best horror films in years, full stop.

Ghost of Yotei stuns with its breathtaking visuals — every frame feels alive, turning the game into a true work of art. The combat system is exceptional: fluid, intense, and as elegant as a master samurai’s strike.

Another one made with Arseniy.

A brilliantly crafted psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The unique premise, stunning cinematography, and eerie atmosphere create an immersive experience. Outstanding performances and a gripping storyline make it a must-watch, especially for fans of mystery and sci-fi. I think right now it’s my favorite show.

Short, dynamic, and engaging series that is a must-watch for anyone who loves video games and the franchises featured in the episodes. Great voice acting and captivating stories make it enjoyable, even if you’re unfamiliar with some of the universes.

I especially recommend the Unreal Tournament, Warhammer 40,000, and Armored Core episodes – my personal favorites!

Secret Level poster

It’s been a long time since there was such a great fantasy action movie. Now it’s my favorite in the genre.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves poster

The film captivates from beginning to end, delivering intense thrills and featuring outstanding performances. It masterfully blends retro-futurism with a richly immersive atmosphere, drawing viewers into its world with every scene.

Alien: Romulus poster

Is a masterpiece RPG with deep storytelling, brilliant characters, and a gripping atmosphere. The world pulls you in with every decision and conversation. The soundtrack is absolutely stunning, adding another layer to the immersive experience. Simply the best game ever! Oh, and the killer? Communism.

2023 Game: 1

I highly recommend playing both games in a row for the full experience. It’s even more impactful if you’re a parent, especially if you have a son—you’ll deeply resonate with the emotions and journey of Kratos, as his story touches on themes of fatherhood, legacy, and personal growth. The connection becomes truly unforgettable!

This one helped me prepare for fatherhood — not practically, but mentally. Three fathers who deliberately give no advice: they just talk about what worries them, what went wrong, and what turned out funny about living with kids. Hearing other people say the quiet parts out loud does more for you than any manual. Hosted by Alexander Borzenko, Vladimir Tsybulsky and Yuri Saprykin, once part of Meduza and now made by the Libo/Libo studio.

2021 Game: 1

A remake of the 2000 original and its Lord of Destruction expansion, rebuilt by Blizzard with Vicarious Visions — new renderer over the old game, with the classic look one key away. It gave me back exactly how it felt as a kid.

Diablo II: Resurrected poster
2020 Game: 1

Naughty Dog’s sequel, five years after the first game — Ellie’s story, told across two perspectives you do not get to choose between. I replay every remake and remaster that comes out, so I have been through this one at least three times.

The Last of Us Part II poster
2018 Game: 1

Rockstar’s western, set in 1899 as the era of outlaw gangs is ending — eight years in the making and still the benchmark for an open world people actually live in. A gripping adventure with a seriously good cast, and Arthur Morgan is the one who stays with you for good.

2016 Game: 1

Playdead’s follow-up to Limbo — a boy running through a grey dystopia, told across roughly three hours without a single line of dialogue or a word of explanation. Simply an unforgettable experience. I can recommend it to absolutely anyone — everyone should play this at least once.
